LOCAL LAW 2025-4 AMENDING CHAPTER 64 ENTITLED “ANIMALS”

BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED by the Village Board of the Village of Central Square, County of Oswego, State of New York, as follows:

Section 1.        That Chapter 64, Section 10 is hereby amended as follows:

§ 64-10. Restrictions.

It shall be unlawful for any owner of any dog to permit or allow such dog, in the Village of Central Square, to:

A.        Engage in habitual loud howling, barking, crying or whining or to conduct itself in such a manner so as to unreasonably and habitually annoy any person;

B.         Cause damage or destruction to property, or commit a nuisance by defecating or urinating upon the premises of a person, other than the owner's property of such dog;

C.         Chase or otherwise harass any person in such a manner as reasonably to cause intimidation or to put such person in reasonable apprehension of bodily harm or injury; or

D.        Habitually chase, run along side of or bark at motor vehicles, bicycles or pedestrians.; or

E.         To be at large off the owner's premises, except when such dog is restrained by a leash not exceeding six feet in length.

Section 2.        This local law shall take upon the filing with the Secretary of State.
